I’ve been thinking about starting my own decentralized exchange (DEX), but I’m really stuck on how to actually get started. There’s so much information out there, and I’m unsure whether I should go for a white-label solution or try to build something from the ground up. I don’t want to rush into anything and end up with something unreliable. Has anyone been through the process of setting up a DEX before? Any advice on how to move forward without getting overwhelmed?
From my experience, starting from scratch is a long and pricey journey, especially if you don't have a dedicated tech team. I tried creating my own DEX using custom development, and it took ages and cost more than I initially thought. The upside is total control over your platform, but it comes at a cost. If you’re okay with a longer timeline and higher expenses, building it from the ground up might be for you. However, I’ve also seen successful platforms use white-label solutions as their base and then build from there, so that’s worth considering too.
